LENI’S LATEST UPDATE:
Happy 9 Months, Your Majesty!
Leni’s Adventures
A Message from the Monarch Himself:
Let us address the comparisons, shall we? I have been called a sable for my rich, flowing coat. I have been called a fox for my lavish, plume-like tail. While I appreciate the flattery, it misses the mark entirely.
I am not a sable. I am not a fox. I am a Maine Coon. Which is, objectively, better. We possess the wild beauty of the forest, the grace of a predator, and the luxurious fluff of a royal pillow — all wrapped in a package that deigns to use a litter box. You’re welcome.

Nine Months & Nine Lives: A Philosophical Pawse
They say we cats have nine lives. If that’s true, then I am still gloriously, triumphantly, in my first. Nine months into this initial, spectacular life, and I have already mastered the art of the nap, the science of the zoomie, and the diplomacy of the 3 AM yowl. Imagine what I’ll accomplish in the remaining eight!
Think of this not just as a monthly milestone, but as the first glorious chapter in a very long, very fluffy epic. The opening act has been magnificent. And the best part? The story is only getting better!
At Nine Months, Leni Is:
- A long-haired symphony in silver, black, and smoke.
- The proud owner of a tail so magnificent, it has its own following.
- Less a pet, more a permanent, furry, gravitational force in Suzanne’s home.
- A living proof that DLuxxy origins result in unparalleled feline excellence.

Happy 9-Month Birthday, Leni!
May your tail stay fluffy, your kingdom expand, and your first life continue to be utterly, spectacularly legendary.
With love and awe,
Kimberly & Rigel at DLuxxy Cattery

But every legend has a beginning. To witness the origins of this glorious reign — from his first days as a DLuxxy kitten to the making of a king — scroll down and behold the full chronicle of Leni.

(Written by Leni, Future King of Suzanne’s Couch)
Hi, my name is Leni. I am a Maine Coon. I was born at DLuxxy on April 29th, 2025.
When I was a little kitten, my paws were too big for my body (a sign of greatness, obviously). When I was growing up at DLuxxy I spent my days napping in sunbeams, wrestling my siblings, and training my humans to worship me properly.
Here’s proof I’ve always been majestic:

My DLuxxy Bootcamp: How I Became the Perfect Maine Coon
💪 Survival Skill #1: The Art of the Litter Box
Let’s be clear: I chose to use the litter box. My humans merely provided the sand. At DLuxxy, they gave me a royal training suite (okay, a cozy pen) with a pristine litter box. I mastered it in, oh, three tries? Pro tip: Use the same litter Suzanne bought — Special Kitty Odor Control Tight Clumping Cat Litter. No weird smells, no complaints.
🍖 Culinary Excellence: My All-Meat Diet
Forget kibble—I’m a carnivore connoisseur. My first solid meal? A DLuxxy special: raw chicken with bones and skins, hearts and livers. (Yes, I licked the bowl.) Want to copy my gourmet diet? Here’s the [link to my favorite homemade recipes – coming up]. Warning: Your cat will demand chef service forever.
💉 Vaccine Day: No Tears, Just Treats
The ‘stabby thing’ (humans call it a ‘vaccine’) was fine. I got Focus CatVax 3+FeLV — the gold standard for future kings. Buy it at Tractor Supply, CAL Ranch, or online. I rewarded my humans with extra purrs (after a 30-minute sulk).
☠️ Arizona Survival Rule #1: Indoors = Alive
*”Listen, kittens: The desert is not your friend. At DLuxxy, I learned the indoor cat manifesto:
- Coyotes think you’re a snack.
- Stray dogs lack manners.
- Snakes/scorpions don’t care how cute you are.
Suzanne’s house has cat towers, not cacti. Smart choice.
🎓 Graduation Day: Fully Loaded
*”By the adoptions day, I was a polished DLuxxy graduate:
- Litter-trained ✔️
- Vaccine-armored ✔️
- Diet-savvy ✔️
- Coyote-aware ✔️
All I needed was a kingdom to rule… and Suzanne luckily applied.
Leni on the Last Day at DLuxxy
Leni is nine weeks in these pictures. Although, he has grown, the pictures don’t show it quite yet except for his eyes getting a deeper green color.
Leni’s Big Move – How This Brave DLuxxy Explorer Conquered His New Kingdom
Guess what? I moved to my forever castle today! Mom (okay, fine, ‘Suzanne’) drove me in a weird, rumbling box called a ‘car.’ I could have yowled like a drama queen, but DLuxxy kittens are too cool for that. I napped like a boss instead.
When we arrived, I scoped out EVERYTHING. That cat tower? Climbed it in 2 seconds. The litter box? Nice choice, Suzanne — smells like home.* Then I showed off my parkour skills by leaping off the bed (no stairs needed, thanks).
* Suzanne thoughtfully purchased the same litter that is used at DLuxxy.
Under the bed was my secret base for a while. Suzanne looked worried, but hey — even future kings need alone time! Later, I gave her a lick to say, ‘Relax, human. I own you now.’ Then we played, and I might’ve nibbled her fingers a little… What? They looked like toys!
From secret agent to bed emperor — it’s all part of the master plan

…But let’s be real — under the bed is strictly amateur hour. I soon realized the true throne room was actually on top of the bed. Why hide in the shadows when you can command the entire room from a plush, queen-sized pedestal? Suzanne finally caught on and now dutifully surrenders the prime pillow real estate. I allow her to share — sometimes.
These days, you’ll find me stretched across the entire comforter like the furry sovereign I am. Napping? It’s more like holding court. And if my human dares to disturb my reign with something as trivial as ‘making the bed’… well, let’s just say my judgmental stare could wilt a houseplant.

Proof I’m No Longer a Toddler (Size Edition)”
Suzanne keeps trying to photograph my magnificence, but let’s be real—cameras can’t handle my grandeur. I occasionally grace her with cuddle sessions (when her petting skills meet my standards). Baby face? Gone. I’ve upgraded to regal scowl (it’s a Maine Coon thing).
DLuxxy Pro Tip: Maine Coons grow for 3-5 years. Leni’s just warming up.
From Floor to Sovereign: The Tower Takeover
The cat tower? Please. I scaled that thing in 2.3 seconds flat. It was less of a ‘climb’ and more of a casual ascension to my rightful throne. The humans gasped. I yawned. Suzanne calls it ‘agility’—I call it basic king behavior. Did they expect anything less from a DLuxxy graduate? Those ramps are for peasants. I take the express route: straight up the side. Fluffy? Yes. Fierce? Obviously.

Leni at 10 weeks just a couple days after moving to Suzanne’s Castle
Leni at 16 weeks on the same cat tower. See how much he has grown in just six weeks!
Maine Coon Leni’s Gourmet Diet: Why Raw Food Makes Royals
Let’s talk about the good stuff — my food. Suzanne serves me this incredible homemade raw feast that I’m pretty sure is fit for feline royalty. Chicken meat and organs — it’s the DLuxxy special, and I devour it like the king I am. None of that dry, boring kibble nonsense. This is the real deal: meaty, moist, and magnificent. My coat is glossier, my energy is endless, and let’s be honest — I’m basically the picture of purr-fect health. If you want your cat to eat like me (and trust me, you do), tell them to check out DLuxxy’s Carnivore Recipes. You’re welcome.

Happy 4-Month Birthday, Leni! 🎉 A Purr-fect Message from DLuxxy Cattery
August 29, 2025
Happy 4-Month Birthday to the magnificent Leni! 🥳 Suzanne, thank you for sharing his journey with us—we’ve loved watching him grow from a curious DLuxxy kitten into the confident, gorgeous Maine Coon he is becoming. Your love and care shine through in every update and photo. We’re so thrilled he has such a wonderful home and family to reign over. Here’s to many more milestones, adventures, and years of joy together!
🐾❤️ — Rigel & Kimberly at DLuxxy

Look how beautiful Leni is! He looks like an Arctic Fox!
Congratulations Suzanne! You made a smart choice selecting Leni.
Fur-real, is Leni already 5 months old?! Happy Birthday to this glorious Maine Coon! 🐾
A very happy 5-month birthday to the stunning DLuxxy Maine Coon Leni! It’s been a delight to watch your journey. You are evolving into such a regal and beautiful creature – your rapidly changing fluff, color, and that magnificent legendary Maine Coon tail are a sight to behold! So happy to see you becoming such a sweet, snugly boy with your amazing owner, Suzanne. Keep thriving, handsome!

Leni’s 6-Month Update: “All Hail the Half-Year King”
The Royal Chompers:
Behold, my magnificent adult teeth have fully arrived! The days of ‘accidentally’ gnawing on Suzanne’s fingers are mostly behind me. I now bestow only the most refined, gentlemanly love nips. You’re welcome, human.

Size & Stature:
I’d like to take a moment to acknowledge my sheer physical magnificence. I have officially surpassed what you would call a ‘large’ cat of any ordinary breed. Let the other felines look up to me — literally. I am a Maine Coon, the largest domestic cat breed, and I am just getting started. My presence now requires a larger portion of the bed, the couch, and frankly, Suzanne’s entire heart.
The Crate Catastrophe:
A rather embarrassing chapter: my loyal old crate, once my chariot, has been retired. I, in a moment of nostalgic folly, attempted to squeeze my majestic new frame into it. It did not go well. Suzanne has provided a new, palatial crate fit for my current size, but I shall always remember my first.

My Kingdom, My Rules:
I must commend Suzanne. She has fully accepted her role as my interior designer and royal subject. The house is now a veritable kingdom of Leni — outfitted with towers, hammocks, and an arsenal of toys. It’s not much, but it’s a start. Well done, Suzanne. You’re learning.
My One-of-a-Kind Coat:
Observe, if you will, my glorious fur. This is not just any coat; this is a gradient smoke pattern, a signature masterpiece that only Maine Coons possess among all domestic cat breeds. Each hair is a work of art, rooted in deepest black and kissed at the tip with shimmering silver. It’s what makes me so devastatingly photogenic. So coveted, in fact, that Kimberly at DLuxxy has tried to negotiate my return! Sorry, Kim. Suzanne took one look at my evolving glory and declared, ‘Over my dead body.’ A wise decision. And let’s not forget my magnificent tail – it’s still growing longer and fluffier every day, filling out into a grand, feathery plume worthy of my royal status.

Happy 6-Month Birthday, Leni! A Message from Rigel & Kimberly at DLuxxy
Happy 6-Month Birthday to the remarkable Maine Coon, Leni! Suzanne, watching his journey has been an absolute privilege. We remember the tiny, cautious king who once held court from under the bed, carefully surveying his new domain. Today, he doesn’t just live in your house — he commands it, he owns it, he IS the kingdom.
From his rare, shimmering gradient smoke pattern — a coat only Maine Coons can truly claim — to his ever-lengthening, magnificent tail and his impressive stature that truly embodies the Maine Coon legacy, Leni has blossomed into everything we dreamed he would be and more. We are so proud of the magnificent cat he has become and even more proud that he has such a devoted and loving human to share his reign with.
Here’s to many more years of love, adventure, and royal decrees! Long live King Leni! 🐾👑”

Weigh to Go, Leni! 11.4 lbs of Pure Purr-sistence
A royal weigh-in has confirmed what my presence already suggested: I am a magnificent 11.4 pounds of pure Maine Coon grandeur — and I’m only just over 6 months old! Let the other cats try to keep up. I’m not just growing; I’m ascending.

My tail is so magnificent, My tail is so magnificent, it requires its own zip code.
Folding it is just efficient space management for us commoners.

What are you looking at? This level of perfection doesn’t come with a free viewing, you know.

My tail is so big, it doesn’t fit into this picture. Some call it a problem — I call it presence.

Leni’s 7-Month Update: “The Royal Spa Day & My Liquid Silver Glow-Up”
So, I turned seven months old on November 29th. I know, I know — the royal archives are a bit behind. My biographer (Kimberly) was busy admiring me and lost track of time. Can you blame her?

To prepare for my milestone, I underwent a sacred ritual known as ‘The Bath.’ Let the record show: I tolerated it. For my public. The indignity of water was momentarily soothed by the promise of unparalleled fluffiness to come.

Now, about those ‘during’ photos. I am aware that in my damp state, some might have mistakenly perceived a… diminished grandeur. A temporary miscalculation. The soaked façade was merely a chrysalis. The world saw a wet cat; the wise saw a phoenix in pre-fluff. My royal core — the unwavering confidence, the noble bone structure, the sheer gravitational pull of my personality — shone through, undiluted by mere water. A true king’s majesty is not in his fluff, but in his gaze. And my gaze said, “This is all part of my plan. Fetch the towel.”
Wet? Damp? Moist? Please. I prefer the term “hydro-dynamically glorious.” I discovered that a waterlogged coat provides a delightful swish and extra momentum for my zoomies. Think of it as my avant-garde, post-bath performance art: ‘The Damp Dash.’ Critics (Suzanne) were stunned into silence.

While Suzanne fussed with towels, I took matters into my own paws. Observe the efficient, systematic grooming of a professional. Every lick is calculated, every swipe strategic. Why wait for human tools when you have the DLuxxy-built, self-drying system? This isn’t just cleaning; it’s accelerated majesty restoration.

And my patience — and strategic grooming — were rewarded. Once fully dried, my signature gradient smoke coat didn’t just return — it ascended. It is now silken, shimmering, and impossibly sleek. Every movement I make is a study in liquid grace. I don’t just walk; I flow. I don’t just leap; I traverse. This is what happens when you combine Maine Coon genetics with DLuxxy excellence and a touch of forced hygiene.
Suzanne says I look like smoke and moonlight. I say I look expensive. We’re both right.
Behold: the ‘Before’ (damp philosopher) and the ‘After’ (silvered sovereign). The glow-up is not a myth. It’s a lifestyle.

Leni’s 8-Month Update: A Regal Christmas & the Truth About True Majesty
Leni’s Adventures
Mark the date, subjects: December 25th. On this day of human celebration, I, in my boundless generosity, bestowed upon Suzanne the greatest gift of all — I retired from professional finger-nibbling. Consider it my Royal Decree of Peace. She cried. I preened. A perfect holiday.

The Numbers Game (And Why They Lie):
The royal scales read 12.8 pounds of pure Maine Coon potential. Suzanne worries it’s not enough. She clearly hasn’t consulted the archives. The average male Maine Coon at 8 months typically ranges from 9 to 15 pounds — so I am, quite scientifically, magnificently average-to-above-average. But listen closely: Weight is a peasant’s metric.
True Maine Coon grandeur is measured in length — from the noble whisker to the tip of my ever-lengthening, feather-duster tail. It’s in my height at the shoulder, my long, snowshoe-sized paws, and the powerful arch of my back. It’s in the muscle that ripples when I leap, not the fat that jiggles. My stature is not heavy; it is substantial. There’s a universe of difference.

A History Lesson from My Human (Kimberly):
Once, humans foolishly prized only weight. In 1998, the Guinness Book of Records rightly stopped accepting entries for the “heaviest pet” to discourage dangerous overfeeding. The infamous Australian cat, Himmy, weighed a staggering 46 lb 15 ½ oz — so large he had to be carried in a wheelbarrow. That isn’t a record; it’s a tragedy.

A noble Maine Coon is not a pillow; he is an athlete. What matters is bone structure, muscular athleticism, a strong heart, and healthy joints — the very foundations of a long, majestic reign. This is the DLuxxy standard.
In My Own Words: The Portrait of a King:
Do I look like I’m lacking? Observe the evidence: my tail, a flowing banner of smoke and silver. My ear tufts, like fine lynx-tipped brushes. These long legs and broad, snow-ready paws are built for prowling rugged terrain (or, you know, conquering the couch).

I patrol my kingdom — from the sunlit square by the sliding door, to the high ground of Suzanne’s bed, to the twinkling fortress of the Christmas tree — with the grace of a panther and the vigilance of a sentinel. My throne is any chair I choose, and from it, I watch over Suzanne. She is my favorite subject, and I am her fluffy, four-legged guardian. This is not just cohabitation; it is a royal protectorate.
I am not just growing bigger. I am growing more into myself — longer, stronger, fluffier, and more deeply loved. At eight months, I don’t just feel good. I feel legendary.

Happy Birthday, Leni! May your tail stay long, your paws stay big, and your reign be joyous and healthy. 🐾👑
