The Easter Lights Litter: Shining Since April 7
April 12, 2026
A Few Days Later
New life, new litter, and a little Easter miracle!
We’re overjoyed to introduce the newest arrivals in our pure bred Maine Coon cattery — Umay and Sorbus’s beautiful babies. Umay began her labor on Easter Sunday, and on April 7th, she brought three stunning orange pure bred Maine Coon kittens into the world.
Some new litters feel touched by something greater than coincidence. The Easter Lights Litter is one of them.
Umay, our devoted, gentle, and beautiful Maine Coon queen, began her labor on Easter Sunday — a day of resurrection, renewal, and the return of light. On April 7th, she brought three stunning orange Maine Coon kittens into the world. Not just orange, but luminous: each one a tiny flame wrapped in fur, with all the signature promise of their magnificent breed. That is why we call them The Easter Lights Litter: because they are exactly that — little glowing beings, born at the turning of the season, when the world tilts back toward warmth and brightness.
Already Opening Their Eyes to the World
In a sign of their remarkable spirit, two members of The Easter Lights Litter have already begun to open theirs — and they are using those new eyes with great curiosity.
Yesterday, we captured photographs of their first bright-eyed glimpses. Today, they are already attempting to hold their heads up. Their movements are still wobbly. They teeter like tiny, unsteady lanterns. But make no mistake — The Easter Lights Litter is full of precocious Maine Coon kittens. Determined. Ahead of the curve.
We will be tracking their progress closely. Below, you will find the start of their weight table, updated regularly as The Easter Lights Litter grows stronger and steadier by the day.
Umay: The Purring Heart of the Nest
No announcement of The Easter Lights Litter would be complete without speaking of their mother.
Umay is, by nature, a gentle soul — and a stunning example of the Maine Coon temperament. But since the arrival of The Easter Lights Litter, she has transformed into something even more tender. When she is with her kittens — which is nearly always — she exists in a state of constant purr. It is not an occasional rumble. It is a sustained, vibrating hum of love and presence.
She watches over their every feed. She adjusts herself with painstaking care to make sure each member of The Easter Lights Litter is comfortable. When one of them squirms or mews, she is there instantly, nuzzling, checking, reassuring.
Umay is not just feeding The Easter Lights Litter. She is guarding them with a quiet, fierce devotion — the hallmark of a pure Maine Coon mother in the deepest sense of the word.
