The Latest Update:
Six Weeks Old and Fully Dangerous
May 19, 2026
Postdated – because orange chaos waits for no calendar
Week 6
A lot has changed since our last update. The biggest news? All three Easter Lights kittens have been reserved. That is right — these little orange troublemakers have already conned their way into three forever homes.
But even with reservations secured, we are still documenting every milestone. For the families waiting. For the potential clients watching. And for ourselves, because we cannot believe what these kittens are doing now.
Let us talk about Week Six.
Weight Check: Three Identical Little Loaves
These three sisters are alarmingly synchronized. All three clock in at 32 ounces — with only a decimal point of an ounce between them.
Either Umay is a precise eater, or these kittens are secretly conspiring to make our job too easy.
| Kitten | Day 5 (Apr 12) | Week 3 | Week 6 |
|---|---|---|---|
| Bobcat | 5.56 | 15.27 | 32.47 |
| Radiant | 5.67 | 16.40 | 32.61 |
| Sunny | 7.60 | 17.47 | 32.80 |
That is not a coincidence. That is witchcraft. Beautiful, orange, four-legged witchcraft.
Three Orange Girls: Same Same But Different
The Easter Lights kittens are absolutely amazing. And here is the thing about raising three orange sisters: they are very similar to each other, and very different at the same time. Like a box of crayons where every crayon is orange but somehow also has its own attitude.

First, the similarities:

All three are aggressively social. They are very happy to see us first thing in the morning. They run to us at first sight. They purr when we pet them or play with them. They make eye contact and like staring at us.
Are they expecting something? Are they simply curious? Are they plotting something?
Probably the last one.
The differences?
That is all in how they play. How they hunt. How they express their very specific little personalities — which, we have learned, are all slightly unhinged in their own charming ways.

Solid Food Victory (Umay Celebrates Silently)

The kittens have officially switched to solid food as their main nutrition source. Umay’s milk is still there at all times — because she is a caring mom who refuses to let go — but the days of her being a 24/7 diner are finally winding down.
Umay has proven herself, yet again, as an exceptional mother. She has raised so many kittens through the years, and she is just as loving and caring now as she was with her very first litter.
Her purr remains constant. Her patience remains infinite. Her expression when the kittens climb her face? Resigned. But loving.
The Tower of Tracks Obsession
The Easter Lights kittens have discovered the Tower of Tracks toy, and honestly? They have lost their tiny minds.
Little paws batting at spinning layers. Eyes tracking every movement. This is not play. This is sport.
They are climbing heights now — all the way to the couch and back. The journey up is ambitious. The journey down is… creative. We have seen tumbling, rolling, and one impressive faceplant that the kitten walked away from like nothing happened.
And our legs? Those have become their favorite climbing poles. Carhartts and thick jeans are now the latest fashion statement at DLuxxy. We have accepted our fate as living cat trees.
The Butterfly Incident
(Content Warning: Mild Toy Violence)
Something beautiful has happened with photoshoots.
Remember when these little ladies were apprehensive on backdrops? Ears back. Eyes wide. The sheer drama of it all?
Now, photo sessions have shifted from somewhat intimidating to purely captivating.
The kittens were afraid of the butterfly-on-a-string at first. Trembling. Suspicious. Ready to call animal control.
Then came the cruel wing modification.
We do not know exactly what happened. We do not want to point paws. But after some… adjustments… to the butterfly, the what’s-left-of-the-butterfly became the single most entertaining toy these kittens have ever encountered.
They were gaining dangerous velocities when chasing the toy. Running until they could not run anymore. Tumbling. Pouncing. Body-slamming.
The butterfly gave its wings for this litter’s entertainment. It died so they could live.
We will honor its sacrifice with a moment of silence.
…
Moment over. Back to chaos.
Combined Gallery This Time
No separate galleries for Week Six. These three sisters are rarely apart these days — eating together, playing together, and collapsing into a pile of orange fur together. You will find them in one combined gallery, because separating them felt cruel.
Six Weeks of Pure Mayhem
The Easter Lights Litter has been reserved — but they are still shining. Still climbing. Still committing small acts of orange-fueled mischief.
And they are not done yet.

Welcome to the story of The Easter Lights Litter
On April 7th, 2026 our purebred Maine Coon queen, Umay, gave birth to three stunning orange kittens — a litter that felt touched by something greater than coincidence. Umay began her labor on Easter Sunday, a day of resurrection, renewal, and the return of light. And so these little ones arrived not just orange, but luminous: each one a tiny flame wrapped in fur.
We named them The Easter Lights Litter because that is exactly what they are. Little glowing beings, born at the turning of the season, when the world tilts back toward warmth and brightness.
This story follows their journey from day one. New updates will always appear at the top, while previous weeks are preserved below in chronological order. Bookmark this page, check back often, and watch as these purebred Maine Coon kittens grow from wobbly newborns into the magnificent cats they were born to be.
Now, let’s start at the beginning…
The New Arrival
April 7, 2026
Day 1
The Easter Lights Litter has arrived, bringing a season of warmth, renewal, and tiny miracles. Born April 7th after a labor that began on Easter Sunday, these dazzling orange kittens have graced us with their presence. We’re overjoyed to introduce Umay and Sorbus’s beautiful babies — and to welcome you as we watch these brilliant little beings grow.

The Easter Lights Litter: Shining Since April 7
April 12, 2026
A Few Days Later
New life, new litter, and a little Easter miracle! Some new litters feel touched by something greater than coincidence. The Easter Lights Litter is one of them.
Umay, our devoted, gentle, and beautiful Maine Coon queen, began her labor on Easter Sunday — a day of resurrection, renewal, and the return of light. On April 7th, she brought three stunning orange Maine Coon kittens into the world. Not just orange, but luminous: each one a tiny flame wrapped in fur, with all the signature promise of their magnificent breed. That is why we call them The Easter Lights Litter: because they are exactly that — little glowing beings, born at the turning of the season, when the world tilts back toward warmth and brightness.
Already Opening Their Eyes to the World
In a sign of their remarkable spirit, two members of The Easter Lights Litter have already begun to open theirs — and they are using those new eyes with great curiosity.
Yesterday, we captured photographs of their first bright-eyed glimpses. Today, they are already attempting to hold their heads up. Their movements are still wobbly. They teeter like tiny, unsteady lanterns. But make no mistake — The Easter Lights Litter is full of precocious Maine Coon kittens. Determined. Ahead of the curve.
We will be tracking their progress closely. Below, you will find the start of their weight table, updated regularly as The Easter Lights Litter grows stronger and steadier by the day.
Umay: The Purring Heart of the Nest
No announcement of The Easter Lights Litter would be complete without speaking of their mother.
Umay is, by nature, a gentle soul — and a stunning example of the Maine Coon temperament. But since the arrival of The Easter Lights Litter, she has transformed into something even more tender. When she is with her kittens — which is nearly always — she exists in a state of constant purr. It is not an occasional rumble. It is a sustained, vibrating hum of love and presence.
She watches over their every feed. She adjusts herself with painstaking care to make sure each member of The Easter Lights Litter is comfortable. When one of them squirms or mews, she is there instantly, nuzzling, checking, reassuring.
Umay is not just feeding The Easter Lights Litter. She is guarding them with a quiet, fierce devotion — the hallmark of a pure Maine Coon mother in the deepest sense of the word.
What Comes Next
In the coming days and weeks, we will share:
- Regular weight updates for all three kittens in The Easter Lights Litter
- New photos as their eyes fully open and their personalities emerge
- Videos of their first wobbly walks
- Milestones: first steps, first purrs, first play
The Easter Lights Litter has only just begun to shine. But already, these little ones are filling our home with warmth.
Welcome to the world, little lights. You were born into light. You are light.

Three Weeks old, and Already Running the Household
May 4, 2026
Week 3 Update
The Easter Lights Litter turned three weeks old — and these three purebred Maine Coon ladies are developing very quickly. Suspiciously quickly. We think they might be up to something.
Eye Contact & Little Meows
When their eyes first opened, something remarkable happened almost immediately: eye contact.
Followed by verbal communication. These little girls look right at you and offer the softest, most earnest little meows.
Translation: “You. Yes, you. Pay attention to me.”
Reaching Out (For Love or Warmth?)
They reach out toward us. They act genuinely happy when picked up. (We choose to believe this is because they love us, not because we are warm and make good climbing structures.)
Getting Brighter by the Day
Their bright orange coats? Growing brighter by the day. Their white markings? More pronounced with each passing morning. Soon they will be visible from space.
Imprinting + Survival Instinct = Self-Preservation
Just like our previous Golden Dawn Litter, these kittens are beginning to imprint on us. But with imprinting comes a growing awareness of the world — and with that awareness comes a very serious, very dramatic survival instinct.
This instinct, combined with imprinting, serves as self-preservation.
In kitten terms: “I love you, but that shadow over there looks deeply suspicious.”
Photoshoot Drama (Brief)
When placed on a backdrop for a photoshoot, these little ladies act momentarily apprehensive. Ears back. Eyes wide. The sheer betrayal of being removed from their cozy nest? Unspeakable.
But here is where they differ from the boys of the past litters.
True Hunters at Heart
These girls forget their fears almost instantly.
One moment, hesitation. The next, they are engaged in the game. They track, they watch, they pounce with their eyes. The shadow is no longer a threat. The shadow is prey.
These little ladies are true hunters at heart. Pray for the shadow.
Meet The Easter Lights Litter
Let us introduce you to each member of The Easter Lights Litter — separately, because each one deserves her own spotlight (and frankly, they insisted).
Radiant — Already Adopted (Show-off)
Radiant caught a family’s heart the moment they saw her. And honestly? Show-off.
She has a bright, radiant face and eyes that seem to hold a light all their own. Her orange coat is slightly lighter than her sisters’, giving her an almost glowing appearance. As if she has a personal lighting technician following her around.
But what truly sets Radiant apart is her gaze. She likes to look right into your eyes — and follow you with that gaze wherever you go. To the kitchen. To the bathroom. To the very edge of your sanity. She is watching.
A couple fell in love with her immediately. Radiant has already been adopted and will be heading to her forever home when she is ready. Lucky family. Or perhaps… lucky Radiant?

Sunny – Currently Accepting Name Suggestions

Sunny is another orange girl, and she wears her namesake on her forehead. Radiating white lines stretch outward like sun rays — a striking marking that sets her apart even among her beautiful litter. She did not choose the sun ray life. The sun ray life chose her.
For now, we call her Sunny. But she is waiting for a loving family to give her their own unique name. Until then, she continues to shine. And judge us. Quietly.
Bobcat – Our Supreme Leader
And then there is Bobcat.
She is a cute little lady in an orange coat, and she moves through this world as if she has always known exactly where she belongs. No anxiety. No second-guessing. Just a quiet, comfortable confidence that says: “This is my home. These are my humans. That is my food bowl. You may look at it, but do not touch.”
She acts casual. She acts unbothered. She acts as if we are her loyal servants — which, let us be honest, we absolutely are.
Bobcat does not ask for treats. Bobcat expects treats.

All Three: Classic Orange Tabby Divas
All three kittens in The Easter Lights Litter are classic orange tabbies — a very attractive and sought-after pattern. Their swirling side markings, their bright orange coats, their white accents… everything about them says purebred Maine Coon quality. Everything about them also says “worship me.”
Umay: Still Purring, Still Unbothered by our Jokes
And what of their mother?
Umay is doing very well. She remains the protective, loving parent she has always been — watching over every feed, every squirm, every tiny adventure. Her purr has not stopped since Easter Sunday. We think she is happy. Either that, or she has simply accepted her fate as a kitten mattress.

Three Separate Photo Galleries (Because They Refuse to Share the Spotlight)
This week, we have three separate photo galleries — one for each little lady, because they made it very clear they do not like being photographed together.
Radiant’s Gallery
Bright eyes, lighter coat, and that slightly smug “I already have a forever home” expression.
Sunny’s Gallery
Sun ray markings, orange beauty, and the patient look of a kitten waiting for her real name.
What to Watch For in Week 4
In the coming days, expect:
- Walking turning into purposeful walking (they already have the steady part down — now they are headed somewhere, and we are fairly sure it is toward trouble)
- More play behavior, including the highly aggressive “attack the shoelace” maneuver
- Continued imprinting, which means they will follow us everywhere (yes, everywhere)
- New photos, because we cannot stop taking them
The Easter Lights Litter has only just begun to shine. And at almost three weeks old? They are already running the show.
We just live here now.
