We are a small, family-run Maine Coon cattery in Hereford, Arizona (90 scenic minutes from Tucson). Our name means Deluxe quality, Deluxe temperament, Deluxe love – but the story behind that? A little more unexpected.
How We Got Here
The short version:
January 2020. New life in Arizona. Pandemic looming. I wanted one thing: a red Maine Coon.
Instead, I got Umay – a beautiful orange girl named after the Turkic goddess of motherhood. The name wasn’t accidental, even though starting a cattery wasn’t the plan. I just wanted Maine Coons for my family.
Then fate laughed.
When Umay turned two, I found a solid blue male for stud service. The breeder couldn’t keep him. When I met him – matted, neglected, miserable – I didn’t negotiate. I bought Nimbus to save his life.
Months of treatments later, our blue giant was healthy, happy, and ready. Umay and Nimbus gave us four kittens. We kept two black-and-red tortoiseshell girls: Garnet and Onyx.
We still had no cattery name. No website. No grand plan.
But the people who bought our boys started talking. Then more people called. By 2023, DLuxxy existed whether we planned it or not – and we became the Maine Coon cattery in Arizona where families come from Tucson, Phoenix, and beyond to visit.
The Cats Who Made Us
🧡 Umay – The goddess who started it all. Still our foundation queen. Still magnificent.
🩶 Nimbus – Our rescue-turned-legend. He retired at five and now he is a service cat to a young boy with a disability. Purposeful. Heroic. Missed every single day.
💛 Saffron – Our orange sire. Retired now, living his best Tucson life.
🤎 Sorbus – 25 pounds of muscle, bone, and deep red classic tabby silk. He is not laid back. He is engaging, demanding, and aggressively social. He wants your attention. He gets it every single time.
❤️ Garnet – Black and red tortoiseshell. The heart of our cattery. Kind, gentle, the mother who hisses at imaginary threats then licks foreheads with breathtaking tenderness.
🖤 Onyx – Garnet’s sister. Same stunning coat. Same excellent genetics. Completely her own cat. Onyx is so effortlessly friendly that clients don’t just ask for kittens — they ask for her kittens specifically. That’s not a tagline. That’s word-of-mouth from people who’ve met her.
✨ The Aspiring Queens – Aurum, Tuffén, Amber, and Orchid. No kittens yet. Just potential, personality, and the promise of great things to come. They’re learning from the best. One day soon, they’ll have their own stories to tell.

Where Our Kittens Go
We’ve placed kittens across Arizona, New Mexico, Texas, California, Colorado, and beyond.
Our policy is simple: We do not ship kittens.
In-person pickup only. Why? Because safety comes first. Shipping is expensive, stressful for the cat, and full of variables we won’t gamble with.
So our clients come to us. They fly into Tucson, stay overnight in Tucson or Sierra Vista, and meet their new family member here in Hereford. Some drive from nearby states. Many turn it into a small adventure.
